Husby's core operations are conducted on the coast of BC with our main operations being located on Haida Gwaii. Our companies actively participate in the coastal log market and purchase substantial volumes that are being sold competitively. These activities along the coast of BC have enabled Husby to create a network of contacts in the BC forest industry and have helped to foster many new development opportunities.
We have built long-lasting relationships through stable business planning and practices. In addition, we follow a strong set of principles to guide our activities. We are focused on the growth of our business while cognizant of the environment and the communities linked to our operations.
Future Growth
Husby Forest Products looks to build upon our expertise in the management and marketing of coastal BC wood. This will be achieved by utilizing our finely tuned marketing skills to pursue markets beyond our traditional areas such as Asia, the United States, Canada, Australia, and Europe. In each of these markets, opportunities exist to expand both our product base and the quality of our product. Additional volumes of timber will be acquired through either the acquisition of new opportunities or joint ventures with First Nations.
